From May 7 through June 7, Frederick County Public Schools is inviting students, parents, teachers, staff and members of the community to participate in the Season of Celebration and Success. The Season of Celebration and Success is an opportunity to share success stories from the 2017-18 school year and to thank Frederick County Public Schools’ employees who have made a difference for students.

Schools Superintendent David Sovine says, “We launched the first Season of Celebration and Success in 2012 and over the past six years, we have received hundreds of heartwarming stories about the positive impact teachers and other staff members have had on students. As the school year begins to draw to a close, we are excited to again offer the opportunity to celebrate the growth that’s occurred with our students throughout the year and to voice appreciation for the teachers, administrators and other staff members who have made a difference for students through their work.”

Anyone is welcome to participate in the Season of Celebration and Success. Submissions can be made online by visiting the Frederick County Public Schools’ website (www.frederick.k12.va.us) or any individual school’s website and clicking on the Season of Celebration and Success link. Submission forms are also available in the office at each Frederick County Public School. Throughout the Season of Celebration and Success, some of the success stories and thank you messages that are submitted will be shared via the school division’s website and Facebook page (www.facebook.com/frederickcountypublicschools).

Sovine says, “It’s always encouraging and uplifting to read the many success stories and thank you messages that are shared during the Season of Celebration and Success. The messages are very personal and show the impact a high-quality public school system has on students, their families and the greater community. All of the messages that are submitted will be shared with the schools and staff members who are mentioned in them. Taking a few minutes to share a success story or voice appreciation for a staff member helps all FCPS employees better understand the positive impact they make through their work.”

The celebrations, success stories and notes of appreciation submitted during the Season of Celebration and Success may be used in publications and other communications to celebrate the value of public education and the positive impact Frederick County Public Schools has on students and the community.
